Translator's Notes:

Miyashita Yuu be winnin'... he actually scheduled this video the day before, to be released on his birthday 18/12 and it got hundreds of likes before it even released. Truly a champion. 

Looking at the MV + the lyrics, I can't help but notice the similar themes with Butaisei Nanika (i.e. a performer who has to fake themselves to satisfy an audience). Is it wishful thinking to hope this has parallels to that storyline? Hahaha. My theory is that this symbolizes the life of a performer/celebrity/artist who has to fulfil the wishes of their audience/the investors/the manager/etc, and therefore sacrificing their integrity or their beliefs in order to survive in that world. This is obviously quite prevalent in the entertainment industry. I also feel a strong connection to the symbolism of rich people stepping on poor people's life choices/jobs as a laughingstock. (yes I hate capitalism, eat the rich)

I tried to convey the meaning in this translation without losing its essence while keeping a similar number of syllables so it's sing-able, so the order of sentences may be reversed. Anyway, regardless of what the true meaning is, Miyashita Yuu + NILFRUITS = godly, right? :)
